Hello Everyone,
This week we will be hitting the streets again on the north side of chicago. The location will be out in front of the Historical Aragon Ballroom. There is a lot of history and stories in this area and plenty of interesting views to paint.

Built in 1926, the Aragon Ballroom was designed for the tuxedoed men and gowned women who whirled to the big bands on its mammoth dance floor. "This place in the '50s and '60s was really popular for ballroom dancing," manager Liz Varney said.

This week we will be going out to OZ Park here in Chicago. It will most likely be cold, so come prepared with many layers with hand and foot warmers.

Also our sister group to the southwest is having there 2nd Annual show opening tomorrow evening at the Tavern Club in Chicago. I hope you all can make it.

"CHICAGO OBSERVED" SOLO SHOW BY OUR OWN NANCY ALBRECHT

"CHICAGO OBSERVED", oil paintings by Nancy Albrecht, opens Thursday Jan. 11 from 5-7 PM at the University Club of Chicago, 76 E. Monroe, Chicago 60603. Twenty oil paintings, all but 8 done en plein air, will be on view until Feb. 4th, daily from 8 am to 2 pm. See most of them on Albrecht's website, Cityscape section.

Also, we will be having our Annual PAPC GROUP SHOW this year again at the PALETTE AND CHISEL, beginning MARCH 1st - 13th, 2007. OPENING FRIDAY, MARCH 2nd.
So, now is the time to look over your past paintings and see what you would like in the show.
(This year we will be allowing one studio painting along with your plein air paintings. )
