Hello Plein Air Painters of Chicago!

Unlike traditional acrylics, all 75 of the "interactive" colors do not suddenly form a skin, changing the painting process and giving you plenty of time to blend and rework unresolved areas of a painting. The patent-pending formulation allows even touch-dry paint to be rehydrated so it can be reworked or ragged-off to blend or reveal layers. Many artists - including both oil painters and acrylics painters - have found that this ability to rehydrate and work wet-in-wet make Interactive an ideal paint for plein air painting. Archival quality and lightfast, these intense colors dry to a satin-like finish without a plastic look or feel, and with minimal color shift. Since Interactive was introduced to the market in February 2006, we have been traveling all around the country holding product demonstrations, painting parties, and academic workshops.
I read in your blog that you meet and then paint on Saturday mornings - what fun! I would love to meet with your group, talk to them about Interactive and provide free paint for the group so they try it. Chroma will provide all the paints and mediums necessary; we ask the artists to bring their preferred surfaces and brushes. There is no cost for this event; all I ask is for the group's feedback after their painting session.
