Hello Everyone,
This week we will be going to Montrose Harbor to paint. I am hoping we get a ton of snow. This will make for great paintings. The bird sanctuary will be a fantastic place to paint a snowy scene.

With this course, we will be doing things a little different. We will have (2) - 5 week poses on Thursdays and (2) - 5 week poses on Fridays. This will give the student a good amount of time to work through their problems and develop a finished portrait. Demonstrations and excercises will also be a part of the program.
The first Thursday and Friday will be a full 3 hour Demonstration.

Course Description:
During these 10 challenging sessions we will focus on basics through the advanced elements of constructing the human head. We will break down the head into its abstract planes and learn how to mass in quickly and accurately, establishing the temperature and effects of light immediately. And overall - we'll focus on capturing the "Spirit" of your subject. Heavy emphasis will be placed on Composition, Drawing, Color Harmonies, Lighting - as well as capturing emotional content.
