Pablo DeLeon painted this at the July 14 outing.
(The stained glass windows at old St. Patrick's were designed, executed and installed by a Palette and Chisel Club man named Thomas O'Shaughnessy.)

Do you have your three pieces for the show that opens on the 27th? Are you looking to get another?

This is a view of the Chicago Water Tower from 1905.
(My commitments to my family will keep me away until August, when my son goes to Japan for a month. I've missed painting with you guys.)

Transfer To Flickr
Yahoo photos--our free photo hosting service so far--is going out of business. Perforce I have been required to transfer the old photo albums of our outings, and new albums as they are made, to Flickr. This is also free, but the transfer is not yet complete. So when you click on the PAPC Photos link at the upper right, you should be taken to the Flickr page where our albums will be. There are two there now; the rest of the albums should arrive soon.
Thanks to everyone, especially Errol and Nancy, for sending me photos of the outings.

Stephanie Weidner brought this to my attention:
There is a television show called Plein Air America that is available to public television stations nationwide. Unfortunately, WTTW Channel 11, our public TV affiliate, does not have it scheduled. Please contact Channel 11 and ask that "Plein Air - Painting the American Landscape" be scheduled. Currently, it is not. They can contact WTTW11 by phone (773-509-1111), by email (ask@wttw.com), by mail (WTTW

(www.wttw.com) and submit the question.

July 7 Taylor Street
Nancy Albrecht suggests an outing to Taylor Street:
"we could meet in front of Conte di Savoia, 1438 W. Taylor St, Chicago. This lovely Italian deli is 1 1/4 blocks east of Ashland, and they serve great espresso and pastries. There is a little park 1/2 block east of Savoia's on Taylor that will have room for lots of painters."
Mapquest directions here.
Location: 1438 W. Taylor Street
Time: 8:30 a.m.
